Discover Project Zero, the world’s first all-electric 70-metre sailing superyacht, redefining luxury with cutting-edge sustainable innovation and renewable power. Sail into the future where elegance meets eco-conscious engineering on the high seas!
Nearly a decade in development, Project Zero is the world’s first all-electric 70-metre sailing superyacht, marking a breakthrough in marine engineering and sustainable design. Built at the Vitters shipyard in the Netherlands, it abandons fossil fuels for a future powered entirely by renewable energy.
The yacht features regenerative turbine propellers that enable hydro-generation, allowing it to sail up to two weeks solely on renewable power without conventional engines. Complementing this are solar panels embedded in the biminis, providing 100 square metres of energy-harvesting surface powering all onboard systems via an advanced mission control system.
Performance is enhanced through cutting-edge simulation techniques and expertise from Emirates Team New Zealand’s America’s Cup specialists, resulting in a hull design that increases speed by 2.5% and boosts electric power generation by 8%. This integration of competitive sailing technology and sustainable propulsion exemplifies the marine sector’s shift toward cleaner, quieter, and more efficient vessels.
Project Zero’s design also incorporates 3D printing and AI-assisted artistry for precision craftsmanship. The yacht balances functional innovation with timeless elegance, featuring long double-ended overhangs, twin towering masts, and bespoke details like a wood-effect metal transom.
