Automatic Feathering Propeller

Max-Prop is a high-performance automatic feathering propeller designed to improve both sailing efficiency and manoeuvrability under power.

When sailing, the blades automatically align with the water flow, significantly reducing drag compared with a conventional fixed propeller. This allows sailing yachts and catamarans to achieve better speed and smoother performance under sail.

When the engine is engaged, the blades rotate into their operating position and provide efficient thrust in both forward and reverse. Max-Prop is particularly recognised for its powerful reverse performance, offering improved control, faster stopping and safer manoeuvring in marinas and confined spaces.

The propeller pitch can be adjusted to match the vessel’s engine, gearbox and operating requirements. Depending on the model, adjustments can be made externally without dismantling the propeller, including during underwater servicing.

Max-Prop propellers are available with two to five blades and in configurations suitable for both conventional propeller shafts and Saildrive systems. The range covers cruising yachts, racing yachts, multihulls and vessels requiring increased thrust, comfort or reduced vibration.
