The 26-liter fuel decanter protects the boat’s fuel system before the fuel even reaches the filter or the engine. By gravity, it traps water and impurities, letting cleaner fuel continue on its way.

On a sailing boat, this is essential. The auxiliary engine is used intermittently and the tanks sit idle for long periods: under these conditions, condensation, residue and sediment build up easily. Moreover, with the hull heeled over and the boat pitching in waves, deposits at the bottom of the tank can be stirred back into suspension and drawn into the fuel line.
