Sea-Fire fire protection systems

Sea-Fire was the first manufacturer of NOVEC™ gas fire extinguishers to ensure continuous improvement in safety products and innovation, such as the recently tested and approved marine fire suppression systems that use an environmentally sustainable extinguishing agent: NOVECTM 1230 from 3M Corporation.

The products used by Sea Fire are clean gas agents, which have the particularity of not producing any foam or dust residue, leaving electronic equipment, radars, and, of course, engines undamaged and therefore fully operational.
Novec is neither toxic nor corrosive, and more than 70 toxicity tests have proven its safety even in spaces occupied by people. Sea-Fire pre-engineered fire suppression systems and manual fire extinguishers are designed to protect particularly difficult areas such as engine rooms, where the risk of fire is particularly high and space is particularly limited. When an abnormal heat source is detected, the pre-engineered system immediately activates and extinguishes the flames in a matter of seconds. The unique mechanism of Sea-Fire pre-engineered systems floods all surfaces in the environment where it is installed with a powerful jet of Novec extinguishing agent within a few tenths of a second of detecting the abnormal heat caused by the flames. Everything is over before the occupants of the boat even have time to notice the problem. The Sea-Fire pre-engineered product range is adaptable to spaces from 4.2 to 42.5 cubic meters and the following accessories are also available: additional sensors, control units, manual controls, and special visual and audible alarms.
