Founded in 1992, MAR-IX is a specialist in advanced HVAC systems for the superyacht industry. We design, engineer and manufacture everything in-house, giving us full control over quality, reliability and innovation.

From our base in the heart of the Dutch yachting sector, we deliver tailor-made HVAC solutions that combine comfort on board with maximum energy efficiency. Our modular chiller systems, intelligent controls and unique heat-recovery technologies set new standards in performance and sustainability.

Modular Chiller Systems (HVAC)

The MAR-IX Chiller System is specifically developed for superyachts where reliability, energy efficiency and compact design are critical. The system is fully modular and engineered for both newbuild and refit projects, including straightforward one-to-one replacement of existing chiller installations. As standard, MAR-IX chillers are approximately 30 percent more energy efficient than conventional systems, achieved through variable speed technology and intelligent system design. When combined with full system integration and heat-recovery solutions, total onboard energy savings can reach up to 80%. Waste heat from chillers can be reused for domestic hot water, jacuzzis, swimming pools or interior heating, significantly reducing fuel consumption and operational costs. The modular chiller system concept allows for faster installation, easier service access and a compact footprint, making it ideal for refits where space and downtime are limited. Its flexible configuration enables seamless integration into existing HVAC infrastructures without major modifications. Each MAR-IX chiller system is equipped with an intelligent monitoring and control platform that integrates with the vessel’s onboard monitoring system. All parameters and alarms are available in real time, both locally and remotely, enabling preventive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting and worldwide remote support. MAR-IX delivers more than equipment alone. The company takes full system responsibility, from engineering and selection through commissioning and long-term support.
