About us

P.l.a.m. was founded in Legnano in 1967 as a small family-run artisanal string workshop and grew over the decades to become one of the leading manufacturers of ropes, braids, and tapes.
The fibers used vary depending on the application and range from natural ones (cotton, hemp, sisal, jute) to synthetic fibers (medium and high tenacity polyester, polyamide, polypropylene, polyethylene) and technical fibers (kevlar ®, dyneema ®, zylon ® PBO, vectran ®).
The wide variety of products we handle allows us to cover multiple market segments and approach some of the most diverse sectors: boating, construction, hardware, fashion, decorations, furnishings, tree climbing, agriculture, fishing, and much more.
The company owes its credibility and its longevity not only to its know-how, the result of experience gained over the years in the field, but also to its ability to innovate through constant research of new materials and the development of new production processes.
