To improve onboard comfort on yachts and ships, Pantecnica® has developed specialized technical expertise in the design and supply of effective systems for mitigating both structure-borne noise and airborne secondary noise in cabins and on deck. The wide range of certified anti-vibration systems — also available in tear-proof versions — can meet any application need to enhance onboard living comfort.
In particular, the MTL Sandwich Kit, an engineered sandwich system, drastically reduces vibrations and solid-borne noise transmitted from marine generators to the vessel’s structure. The Metasilencers, innovative, lightweight, and compact silencers based on metamaterial technology, offer adjustable acoustic performance — perfect for the naval and maritime industries, where reducing low-frequency noise is essential. Moreover, our commitment to protecting the marine environment has always been one of our top priorities, in compliance with Sustainable Development Goal 14 of the UN 2030 Agenda. In fact, we have been early supporters of the One Ocean Foundation and have developed innovative systems to avoid the use of antifouling treatments — known for their environmental impact — as well as 100% recyclable acoustic shielding solutions.

MetaSilencers
MetaSilencers are lightweight, compact silencers with low pressure drop using metamaterial technology. They offer tunable acoustics, reducing volume, mass up to 30% and low-frequency noise, ideal for naval and marine applications.

Kit Sandwich MTL
The MTL Damping Kit, developed in collaboration with Phononic Vibes, and obtained by interposing a viscoelastic plastic layer with highly damping properties, between two coupled commercial-size sheets, which transforms the kinetic energy caused by vibrations into thermal energy. The complete absence of resonance phenomena makes MTL irreplaceable in the construction of components designed to reduce structure-borne noise, making it an extremely suitable solution for increasing on-board comfort.
