The most common are lever-type, with male and female threads and are identified by an acronym that identifies them: Type A – AW – B – C – D – E – F – DC – DW – DP – LAS – LBS. Camlock fittings can also be made of other materials including: Bronze, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Polypropylene and Carbon Steel. Gaskets can be inserted with various compounds: NBR – EPDM and FKM. The operating pressure of these lever-type fittings varies with the diameter and material of the fitting, while the temperature resistance depends on the gasket material. Camlock fittings have been specifically designed for the industrial sector, mainly used in the chemical plant sector, they are used to obtain a quick and safe connection between two types of pipes.
