WATER FILTERS
The water filters can be used for different purposes, each of which needs the most suitable cartridges for the type of intervention required. When used on complex equipment, such as desalinators, the manufacturer’s requirements must be complied with. For use on the water of the onboard tank you need to know some facts. Chlorine is added to all water supplied by public aqueducts in order to prevent the proliferation of the biological components originally contained. In the tanks of boats, where the water stays for a long time without replacement, the risk is greater, but can be fought with the addition of chlorine. To eliminate the bad smell of chlorine it is necessary to interpose an activated carbon filter on the outlet of the tank. If you want to reduce the presence of suspended solid particles in the incoming water, add a cartridge at the inlet, with filtering capacity but without the active carbons that, by impoverishing the water from chlorine, would facilitate the proliferation of biological components.
